Juliana's Sweet Sixteen!

So perfect for a Summer birthday : ) Happy Birthday Juliana!!!

The cake was a surprise to Julianna, which makes it cake sooo much better!

AU Grooms Cake

The groom is going to Auburn Vet School in the Fall... so Kelsey wanted to represent both : )

Veterinarian symbol...

That's better! I made this cake at Laura's and when I noticed the UK plate in the background I had to take a picture : )

Baby Thomas' First Birthday!

Since he is sooo much prettier than the cake, he had to be at the top!!! He is the definition of a squeezable baby!

The theme of Thomas' birthday party was safari! I was so excited to make some of the animals again (doesn't seem like a year ago since Aiden's 1st birthday).

I made Thomas' baptism cake last November, so I was so excited to make his birthday cake. He is going to a big brother in a few months so hopefully there are more to come for Baby Thomas and Baby Joseph.

Rollercoster!

This cake was for Lauren's friend Anthony. She showed him my blog a couple weeks ago and he LOVED it! He was really disappointed that Chad (rock the earth cake) got a "cake it pretty" birthday cake and he wasn't going to. What he didn't know is that she had asked me to make them both a couple weeks ago. Lauren made sure he overheard her telling their friend to bring the angel food cake to the party Friday. I love when cakes are surprises!

Anthony is a member of the American Coaster Association (ACE--look at his flag) and gets to go all over to ride roller coasters and write reviews. So, what would be a more perfect cake idea than a roller coaster?

Lauren told me that Anthony calls me the "cake it girl"... hopefully he has a positive review to write about this cake : )

Sock Monkey!

This cake was so much fun to make : ) Happy birthday Rachel!

In the initial "building stages" I was a little nervous you would have to squint your eyes really hard to see the sock monkey in it... I was surprised by the end!

I have decided to dedicate this cake to Morgan! (she will always be a monkey at heart haha)

His face is the cutest, but I think the buttons are my favorite part. I'm still working on a name for this little guy... any suggestions?

Rock the Earth

This cake was for Lauren's (someone I work with at iwin) boyfriend. He is part of an organization called Rock the Earth. From what Lauren said, they are an environmental organization that goes to music festivals to spread the message "defending the Earth one beat at a time."

The Earth is actually a music note : ) Notice the "C" on the drums for Chad! I was glad to hear from Lauren last night that she had made it to Louisville safety and the cake had not "collapsed." She had a dream that when she opened it, it had collapsed and when she called me I said, "Don't worry I'm on my way." When I showed up I had two cakes to choose from but they had also both collapsed. I'm so glad this was just a dream!!!

This cake was a complete surprise. She was worried he would be suspicious so she brought in a cookie cake first as a decoy--this is probably my favorite aspect of the cake : ) Very sneaky...

In an effort to continue on her track of being "the best girlfriend ever" (Lauren's words) she also got her friend Mike to paint an abstract painting of all of Chad's favorite things!
Check out Mike's amazing art here.
