Maggies Wedding Cake

Congrats Maggie and Jimmy! I was so excited to be able to make another wedding cake (and relieved it was smaller than the first one!)

Cubs Grooms Cake

Congrats Laci and Parker! I didn't really understand this at first, so for all of you who fall in that category, too... Cubs fans have a saying "wait until next year" because I am informed they haven't won a World Series since 1908. So, this cake is Laci saying to Parker that she is glad she didn't have to wait until next year.... sooooo CUTE!

Farm Wedding

This cake was for a small wedding on a farm in Frankfort.

The bottom tier is red velvet and the top is vanilla : ) There is LOTS of cream cheese icing under the fondant but I had to cover it because it would have had no chance of surviving through the heat tomorrow.

Definitely a summer wedding!

Birthday Barbie!

What 21-year-old wouldn't want a barbie cake for their birthday? That's what I thought : )

My instructions for this cake were PINK, PINK, PINK!!! You can definitely tell it was my design because of the headband with a flower!

She's ready for her close up...

Fenway Park!

I LOVE this one! This was the grooms cake for Caitlin and Kurt's wedding : ) The cake was half strawberry and half chocolate.

Since I decided to make two other cakes last weekend, I had to make this cake at home and then drive it an hour to the wedding. With it being 93 degrees outside, it is very safe to say that I was a liiiittle bit nervous about it melting. The cake made it there very easily and I actually didn't take too long to thaw out from having the air on so strong.

Kurt loves Caitlin!!! Caitlin's sister, Kendra, tried her best to convince me it would be okay if I "accidentally" made a Yankees cake instead of Red Sox... too funny!

Congrats Kurt and Caitlin!

Sweet 16!

This cake was for a 16th birthday party for 3 girls. "TLC" represents their initials (Tori, Lindsey, Chloe).

Each layer was a different flavor... the bottom was vanilla, middle was chocolate, and the top was strawberry (all for Tori, right? ha).

I was surprised by what houndstooth looked like close up... I eventually got the hang of it and really like the way it turned out!

WWE!

Happy 8th Birthday Tanner!

So, I am not much of a wrestling fan... BUT I am fan of this cake : )

Legos!

I love this one! I knew this cake would be fun to make when she first mentioned the theme of the party.

Happy 7th birthday Charlie!

The last tassel cake (for a while)

This graduation cake was a little different from the others because I didn't use fondant (except to make the board and tassel).

Congratulations Michael!

Baby Storm!

Since both Lee Ann and Lisa are mommies-to-be, Lee Ann started calling this a baby storm instead of baby shower (which I love). With everyone being so busy at work it took a while to finalize the plans to make this happen. We decided to go to lunch at Dudley's today to celebrate.

We couldn't have waited any longer to make this happen because Lee Ann is due June 10th and Lisa on June 18th. We created a pool for "baby bets" today on when they will be born... down to a six hour window.

Lisa is having another boy named Harris and Lee Ann is having a girl (who Laura and I named Bubblegum since she isn't sure on the name yet). : )

I can't wait to meet both of these precious babies!
