Follow the yellow brick toad to success!

Someone I work with did a team building with Lewisburg School. The theme of the day was "follow the yellow brick road to success" and the teachers really embraced it. On the first day of school, several of the teachers even dressed up as the characters. So, what could be more perfect to celebrate the end of the first week of school than with a cake?!

Congrats Farrah and Nathan!

Farrah... Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your big day! I'm so excited for you two! It's been a long time since the days of American Girls and Mary Kate and Ashley!

Nothing better than a UK grooms cake!!!

So pretty!

Happy Birthday Zoe'!

What 9-year-old wouldn't love to design their own birthday cake? Every detail of this cake was picked by Miss Zoe' and it turned out so cute!

It all came together so well.... from the zebra stripes to the color scheme to the softball on top! Zoe' celebrated her birthday with a pool party and I'm told the cake was a hit (okay, maybe that was a little corny since it has a softball on top!)

My Little Pony!

Happy Birthday Laura Lynn! She loves horses and spent her birthday party riding horses with her friends, such a cute idea!

This cake was fun to make for many reasons... but mostly because it was My Little Pony! My cousins and I loved My Little Pony when we were younger, and definitely loved going to the lake to use our My Little Pony sleeping bags (and hear Gran tell us flying inner tube stories).

Abby (aka Rainbow Dash a few days ago) and I had fun looking up My Little Pony videos and comparing the old version with the new version. Even if we had to change our old names to fit the new characters.

Happy Birthday Brianna!

Brianna wanted her cake to be bright colors and girl-y... I think this takes care of both those things!

Woody's 23!!!

Jonathan has become one of my favorite people. Notice that I didn't say what category of favorite people that he falls into : ) We like to pick on each other but it's all in fun! Most everyone calls him Woody, so the cake was perfect!

I made his sister's birthday cake several months ago and he said since I made her cake, he was expecting one for his birthday. I think he had forgotten about it because he was definitely surprised when I gave him his cake (even though he'd probably say he knew all along).

Happy Birthday Morgan

Morgan was at GSP during her 17th birthday, but she was able to celebrate her birthday early on "Family Day." Her parents went to Louisville to pick her up and she spend the day with her family and friends poolside! Sounds like the perfect way to spend the day to me : )
