So glad I could make Jennie and Brandon's wedding cake yesterday! They are some of the nicest people and were both beautiful on the big day! The wedding was outside at Flint Ridge and was such a beautiful, sunny day for a wedding.
Jennie is an art teacher, so we had a lot of fun before the wedding getting the design of the cakes JUST RIGHT. She wanted to go with an art deco theme, I love how unique these cakes were.
Tough decision for choices of flavors... strawberry (Jennie and Brandon's favorite), red velvet, and yellow. They cut the top of the three tier cake outside in the tent in front of all the guests. This gave me a chance to cut the cake behind the scenes, which I definitely liked.
Of course, Charlie was the first person to get a piece of the cake.
Thanks to Alex for being a great cake cutting assistant! Just what he wanted to do instead of watch football... he's just too good at it, would hate to waste such talent : )
The ceremony was in front of the house with close to 200 white chairs on each side of the steps. Jennie came around the side of the house (opposite the tent) for her grand entrance. We were told the moment was out-of-a-movie gorgeous! I can definitely say that she fit this description, regardless of the moment.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Blake!
Cake it Pretty
The prettier the cake, the better it tastes!

There's no place like... LOGAN ALUMINUM
Last Friday we had a team building for the Human Resources department at Logan Aluminum. The clouds represent the three different units (Benefits, Medical, Wellness; Employee Relations; Human Resource Development). The theme was "There's no place like Logan Aluminum," based on the Wizard of Oz. Of course, I couldn't agree more!!!
Gender Reveal Cake
I'm so glad I got to make a gender reveal cake to find out if Natalie and Derek's little baby was a boy or girl. If you're not familiar with the idea of a gender reveal cake, here's how it works... Natalie and Derek went to the doctor to find out what they were having, except THEY decided not to find out until that night. Once they finished the ultrasound, either "boy" or "girl" was written on a piece of paper and sealed in an envelope. I was the only person to know the gender until the party. I filled the cake with the appropriate color icing and tried to keep Mollie from driving herself crazy with wanting to find out : )
Time for the party!!! Not only did their family and friends find out the baby's gender from the cake, but so did they.
Drum Roll Please....
It's a BOY!!!
Love their faces here after the first look... pure excitement!!!
Oh, how much blue they are going to see! So excited for you guys : )

Ainsley's 3rd Birthday!
What a cute party theme.... Under the Sea!!!
This cake almost told a story. The bottom layer was under the sea, the middle was full of palm trees and the top was the clouds... Ainsley is on the top in a inter tube (of course with a bow : ))
Each layer was a different flavor... bottom = vanilla cake with cookies and cream filling, middle = strawberry cake with buttercream filling and top = chocolate with cookies and cream filling.
How cute is little Miss Ainsley with her birthday girl shirt???
Me with the birthday girl (and our flower girl next June!)
Hi, Ainsley! She loved her trampoline and was definitely a jumping bean! She told us she jumped ALL NIGHT LONG and I definitely don't doubt it! : )
What "Under the Sea" birthday party would be complete without a little time in the pool?

Happy Birthday Chanler!
Anyone remember the cute zebra/softball cake I made about a month ago for Zoe'? This cake was for her sister, Chanler! Have a fabulous birthday!
So pleased with the way this cake turned out... what could be more perfect for a 14-year-old girl? That's what I thought, this is pretty much the best!
Good job with the design, Chanler! So glad I could make your cake!
